Copyright Policy

All Hivereads journals are published Open Access. This means all articles are immediately available to read and reuse upon publication. Articles published in Hivereads journals can be downloaded, shared, and reused without restriction, as long as the original authors are properly cited.

Submission of the manuscript represent that the manuscript has not been published previously and is not considered for publication elsewhere. It is the author’s responsibility to obtain and submit all written permissions required, including permission to quote material which has appeared in another publication. Authors are required to sign and submit the completed “Copyright transfer Form” upon acceptance of publication of the paper. This is determined by a publishing agreement between the author and Hivereads journals. These rights might include the right to publish, communicate and distribute online and to sublicense.   Author(s) retain copyright of their work, with articles licensed to Hivereads. All the articles of Hivereads use the Creative Commons Attribution International License (CC-BY). Hivereads supports the need for authors to share, disseminate and maximize the impact of their research and these rights are defined below:

  • Copyright on any open access article in a journal published by Hivereads is retained by the author(s).
  • Authors grant Hivereads a license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher.
  • Authors also grant any third party the right to use the article freely as long as its integrity is maintained and its original authors, citation details and publisher are identified.
  • Retain patent and trademark rights
  • Re-use their own material in new works without permission (with full acknowledgement of the original article):
    1. Extend an article to book length
    2. Include an article in a subsequent compilation of their own work
    3. Re-use portions, excerpts, and their own figures or tables in  other works.
  • Use and share their works for scholarly purposes (with full acknowledgement of the original article)
  • Publicly share the preprint on any website or repository at any time.
  • Publicly share the accepted manuscript on non-commercial sites and on pre-print servers.
  • Publicly share the final published article on any website or repository at any time.

Rights and Permissions

All the articles published in the Hivereads journals are Open Access, you do not need to seek permission from Hivereads for reuse. The copyright of the articles remains with the authors, who have chosen to make the articles available for reuse under an open license, such as the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY). These licenses permit reuse and adaptation, as long as the original authors are cited.
